Attorney
Andrew Peters is a seasoned trial attorney who focuses his practice on representing homeowners and unit owners in disputes involving homeowners’ associations (HOAs) and condominium associations throughout Florida. He assists clients in all aspects of community association disputes, including pre-suit negotiations, statutory demands, arbitration proceedings, mediation, and complex litigation involving governing documents, covenant enforcement, architectural control disputes, maintenance and repair issues, selective enforcement, records inspection disputes, election and governance matters, assessment disputes, and other conflicts arising under Florida’s condominium and homeowners’ association laws.
In addition to his community association practice, Andrew represents clients in commercial, business, real estate, construction, and other complex civil litigation matters. He has successfully advocated for individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes, providing strategic counsel from the earliest stages of a case through trial when necessary. His broad litigation background allows him to develop practical, results-oriented strategies tailored to each client’s objectives while remaining prepared to aggressively advocate in the courtroom whenever litigation cannot be avoided.
Andrew began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami, where he developed a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy. During his tenure, he handled numerous hearings, depositions, evidentiary proceedings, and jury trials while representing clients in a wide variety of complex criminal matters. This intensive trial experience sharpened his litigation skills and provided the courtroom confidence that continues to benefit his civil litigation clients today.
His skill and dedication earned him an appointment as a Training Attorney, where he was responsible for mentoring, teaching, and supervising younger attorneys. In that leadership role, Andrew trained new lawyers in litigation strategy, courtroom advocacy, case preparation, and trial practice while helping foster their professional development.
Andrew later transitioned his extensive trial experience into civil litigation, where he represented clients in employment, business, construction, commercial, and real estate disputes. Throughout his career, he has litigated matters involving condominium and homeowners’ associations, giving him firsthand knowledge of the legal and practical challenges homeowners often encounter when facing association boards and their legal counsel. This experience has provided him with valuable insight into the strategies necessary to effectively protect his clients’ rights and pursue favorable outcomes.
Andrew believes the strongest legal representation begins with understanding each client’s goals and providing practical, candid advice throughout every stage of the case. He is committed to developing thoughtful legal strategies, maintaining open communication with his clients, and pursuing efficient resolutions whenever possible while remaining fully prepared to litigate aggressively through trial when necessary. His combination of extensive courtroom experience, strategic advocacy, and client-focused representation enables him to effectively guide clients through even the most complex legal disputes.
