Roberto Garrote

Roberto Garrote, Esq. is an attorney at Perez Mayoral, P.A., where he focuses his practice on representing homeowners and unit owners in disputes against condominium and homeowners associations. Roberto assists homeowners and unit owners in understanding HOA governance and commercial disputes.

Prior to joining Perez Mayoral, P.A., Roberto worked as an attorney where he represented large national insurers in matters involving insurance coverage and other insurance-related disputes. Roberto focused on complex personal injury protection (PIP) cases. In this role, he routinely drafted and argued key motions. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the complex legal strategies used by insurers, which he now utilizes to advocate effectively for his clients.

In addition to Roberto’s litigation experience as an insurance defense attorney, Roberto also gained extensive experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship litigation. Roberto prepared essential legal instruments such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and handled numerous probate administrations.

Roberto’s legal career began in 2015 when he worked as a legal assistant at Dania S. Fernandez & Associates. He gained invaluable experience in commercial litigation where the firm represented HOA and condominium associations. He assisted the attorney’s in the collections department and researching insurance defense law on behalf of the associations. This unique experience provided him with insight into the strategies and operations of associations, which he now utilizes to zealously advocate for homeowners and unit owners against associations.

Roberto earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude, and achieved placement on the Dean’s list several times. He was a member of Moot Court and served as the Treasurer in the Elder Law Society. Prior to law school, Roberto graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Education. Roberto’s academic excellence prepared him in his pursuit of professionalism and advocacy in his legal services.
