Gabriel Perez, Esq. is a Partner at Perez Mayoral, P.A., where he serves as a key strategist and advisor to clients across a broad range of complex legal matters, including condominium and homeowners’ association disputes, real estate litigation, and business litigation. Mr. Perez works closely with the firm’s leadership and litigation team to develop and execute effective legal strategies, guiding matters from initial case evaluation through arbitration, litigation, and, when necessary, trial.
Mr. Perez brings a diverse and results-driven litigation background, having represented homeowners, property owners, and businesses in hundreds of disputes. His practice includes condominium and HOA matters, real estate disputes, and business litigation, where he is known for his ability to identify strategic leverage points early in a case and drive efficient, favorable outcomes for his clients. Whether addressing governance and transparency issues within associations, navigating complex real estate conflicts, or resolving business disputes, Mr. Perez focuses on practical, outcome-oriented solutions tailored to each client’s objectives.
In the condominium and homeowners’ association context, Mr. Perez advises clients on a wide array of issues, including special assessments, enforcement disputes, fiduciary duty concerns, and statutory rights under Florida law. He regularly guides homeowners through disputes involving associations, from pre-suit strategy and arbitration through litigation and trial, ensuring that clients are positioned to protect their interests and achieve meaningful results.
Beyond association matters, Mr. Perez is actively involved in real estate and business litigation, representing clients in disputes involving property rights, contractual issues, and business conflicts. His strategic approach and litigation experience allow him to effectively handle matters that intersect between real estate, corporate interests, and association governance.
Mr. Perez also has extensive experience representing homeowners in first-party insurance disputes, having handled thousands of property insurance claims and successfully resolving a substantial number of cases with favorable outcomes. His background in insurance litigation provides additional depth in matters involving property damage and financial recovery.
Prior to joining Perez Mayoral, P.A., Mr. Perez was a Founding Partner at Blacksten, Zelaya, and Perez, PLLC, where he represented clients in homeowners’ insurance disputes, civil litigation, and family law matters. Before co-founding his firm, he spent over six years as an Associate Attorney at a prominent plaintiff’s firm representing homeowners in insurance coverage disputes.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Perez practiced in foreclosure defense and family law, further broadening his litigation experience. He began his legal career as a legal intern at the Law Offices of Steven Reed Cohen, where he gained early exposure to condominium and homeowners’ association matters.
Mr. Perez earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where he received the Book Award in Civil Pre-Trial Practice. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, where he served as a member and director of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.
Mr. Perez is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is fluent in Spanish, enabling him to effectively serve a diverse client base and build strong relationships within the Hispanic community.
